Honeygold is a cross between Golden Delicious and Haralson. A mid-late season apple with medium to large yellow fruit and creamy white flesh. In spring, pinkish and white beautiful blooms emerge. The University of Minnesota developed it to tolerate winter temperatures as low as -50 degrees Fahrenheit. The flavor profile of this fruit is similar to Golden Delicious and honey sweetness with a crisp, juicy texture. It is a perfect apple for cooking, cider, and eating fresh. The apples can also be preserved through canning, freezing, and drying.
