Light
Provide 6 to 8 hours of bright, indirect indoor light or morning sun outdoors.
Direct morning sun enhances the pink, cream, and purple tones on its heart-shaped leaves.
Protect it from harsh, scorching afternoon sun, which can burn the delicate foliage.
Water
Water thoroughly only when the soil is completely dry.
In spring and summer (active growing season), water every 7 to 10 days.
In fall and winter (dormancy), reduce watering to every 3 to 4 weeks.
Check the lower leaves: plump leaves mean it is hydrated, while slightly deflated or wrinkled leaves indicate it is time to water.
Soil & Potting
Use a fast-draining cactus and succulent potting mix amended with perlite or coarse sand.
Plant in a container with drainage holes
